Bulgaria, with a predominantly continental climate featuring cold winters, warm summers, and marked regional differences between its plains and mountain areas, is strengthening climate resilience through growing
engagement in the Mission. A total of 15 local and regional authorities are participating in Mission Projects, supported by 13 Charter Signatories (regions/local authorities that have signed the Mission Charter and committed to striving toward climate resilience by 2030), and €6.48 million in EU funding has been allocated.

AdaptationHubs boosts coordination on climate adaptation, while helping national and local governments to share solutions and strengthen their approaches to managing climate risks.
The Bulgarian AdaptationHub is a multi-stakeholder platform that facilitates dialogue and coordination on climate adaptation, with a focus on supporting implementation at national and local level, particularly involving municipalities. The Hub builds on existing structures, in particular the national energy and climate multy-level dialogue platform established under the NECPlatform project, as well as the EcoEnergy municipal energy efficiency network, which enables outreach and engagement with local authorities.
