Webinar 1: Navigating the Adaptation Finance Landscape

April 2026

The first webinar in the series is focused on how regional and local authorities can mobilise private funding for climate resilience, covering the difference between funding and financing. It covers how having an innovative mindset can help cities move beyond public funding. Real-world case studies are discussed, and the city of Lund demonstrates how an innovative mindset within a city can help reach creative solutions for climate adaptation financing.

Webinar 2: Making Adaptation Projects Investable

September 2026

The foundation of the session is a step-by-step method: defining the project as a bounded investment, costing it over its full lifecycle, identifying a credible revenue or savings stream, explicitly allocating risk, and choosing a delivery structure that investors can contract into. The webinar will feature European examples and a real-life investor as a guest speaker to show how different projects have solved the payer problem.
