Engaging stakeholders and citizens enhances the relevance, effectiveness, and credibility of climate adaptation plans, builds trust and supports a collective mandate for implementing adaptation actions. Developed by MIP4Adapt, this DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Manual for regional and local authorities emphasises four key actions for engaging stakeholders and citizens in climate adaptation: 1) Communicating with clear and accessible information, 2) Engaging stakeholders and communities, 3) Connecting stakeholders and citizens to facilitate collaboration, and 4) Enabling collective and individual action.
