Collaboration spaces

The EU Mission Adaptation Community offers several collaboration spaces designed to connect, share knowledge, discuss common challenges, and work together on climate adaptation priorities.

Thematic Working Groups

Within the EU Mission Adaptation Community, members can participate in dedicated collaboration spaces known as Thematic Working Groups (TWGs). These are exclusive spaces designed to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and create synergies across Mission Projects, helping to maximise their collective impact. their collective impact.

The TWGs focus on specific topics of common interest for Mission Projects from various programmes working on adaptation. Their purpose is to coordinate efforts and outputs, share knowledge and strengthen collaboration to enhance the adaptation work, ultimately contributing to both individual project objectives and the overall goals of the EU Mission on Adaptation. 

The Community currently hosts seven long-term core TWGs focused on topics of strategic relevance to Mission Projects: 

  1. Citizen and Stakeholder Engagement
  2. Climate Services
  3. Financing Climate Action
  4. Integrating Mitigation and Adaptation
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation
  6. Transformational Adaptation
  7. Climate Adaptation Platforms (CAPs). 

Additionally, the topic of Nature-based Solutions is covered by the NbS Task Forces of NetworkNaturePLUS. 

As well as the core TWGs, Mission Projects can participate in ad hoc TWGs, which are established to address emerging priorities, specific science-policy questions, or time-bound collaboration needs. 

Each TWG has its own dedicated space within the online platform hosted in Futurium, where members can participate in discussions, collaborate on joint outputs, and access shared documents and resources.

Engage with the private sector

The EU Mission Adaptation Community also counts with a dedicated space on Futurium to explore direct engagement and exchange between private sector organisations, Regional and Local Authorities (RLAs), research and innovation actors and the wider Mission Community.

This dedicate space supports the sharing of knowledge, solutions, and expertise to advance climate adaptation across Europe while enhancing the visibility of private-sector contributions within the EU Mission on Adaptation. 

Private sector organisations can showcase solutions, services, tools, case studies, and expertise relevant to climate adaptation, engage directly with Community members, and identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Community members, including RLAs and Mission Projects, can explore adaptation solutions and innovations, share needs and challenges, connect with organisations offering relevant expertise, and develop new collaboration opportunities.

Collaboration Hub

The Collaboration Hub is an open space for members of the EU Mission Adaptation Community to exchange ideas, ask questions, share experiences, and discuss topics related to climate adaptation.
