How can Nature-based solutions help Mediterranean regions adapt to a changing climate? And how can research better respond to the needs of the people and territories putting these solutions into practice?
These questions will be at the heart of the DRYAD Mid-term Event, taking place on 29 September 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal. The event will bring together DRYAD partners, local stakeholders from different Mediterranean regions to exchange experiences, discuss regional challenges and explore how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can contribute to more climate-resilient ecosystems.
With sessions including a national stakeholder workshop to discuss local needs and priorities and a guided visit to Companhia das Lezírias, one of DRYAD’s Pilot Demonstration Areas in the Alentejo region, the event aims to strengthen connections between research, local knowledge and practical climate adaptation.
