Across Europe, regional and local authorities are increasingly prioritising climate adaptation, yet many continue to face challenges in turning plans and strategies into concrete actions and investments. Cohesion Policy represents one of the EU’s most important instruments for supporting climate resilience, providing funding, technical assistance and practical support to help regions implement adaptation measures on the ground.
This event will present the forthcoming Cohesion4Transition (C4T) guidance on Mission Adaptation support, and its relevance for climate adaptation investments under Cohesion Policy. Bringing together regional and local authorities engaged with the Mission, Cohesion Policy managing authorities, and adaptation experts, the session will also showcase practical experiences, available support mechanisms and implementation approaches that can help authorities make better use of Cohesion Policy investments to support sustainability transitions and build a more climate-resilient Europe.
Through presentations and peer exchange, participants will gain insights and discuss opportunities, challenges and good practices for using Cohesion Policy to accelerate climate adaptation action and deliver lasting resilience benefits for citizens, communities and territories.
