NBRACER x UrbanByNature Webinar #3: Lessons Learned in planning, developing and implementing nature-based solutions

In the previous years, several EU-funded projects have been working together towards a common goal of mainstreaming and upscaling different types of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in various cities and regions. Some of the projects have been focusing on the role of NbS to enhance adaptation and climate resilience, such as NBRACER, and other projects under the NbS4EU Cluster.

These projects are heading into the final stages of their NbS implementation and simultaneously have gathered many lessons along the way. This webinar brings these valuable Lessons Learned to the broader NbS Community and those who can benefit from them for their own NbS journeys. The webinar will focus on gathering insights pertaining to engaging different stakeholders in the process of co-developing, co-implementing and co-evaluating the NbS in their local settings. Specifically, the webinar will harvest lessons from NbS projects on how to communicate to citizens, fostering awareness and ownership of the solutions.

This webinar explores what worked and did not work in providing the local population the opportunity to engage in the process of NbS implementation, placing particular focus on how to move from consultation to ownership. By sharing both successes and challenges from the projects, this webinar aims to create an understanding of how to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and inspire/move residents to take action for NbS implementation and maintenance.
