MIP4Adapt, under the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, is inviting climate adaptation experts from across Europe to join the new Roster of Experts.
The Roster of Experts forms part of the EU Mission on Adaptation’s efforts to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and implementation support across Europe's climate adaptation community. The roster will bring together specialists from research, policy, and practice to support climate adaptation action across the Mission Community. It will help connect regional and local Authorities, Mission Projects and other stakeholders with trusted expertise, while creating opportunities for experts to contribute to Mission activities and knowledge sharing.
We are looking for experts across a wide range of disciplines (e.g. climate science, ecosystems and nature-based solutions, financing of climate resilience, health and human well-being, among others) and sectors, including public authorities, academia, research organisations, consultancies, civil society organisations, and the private sector.
By joining the roster, experts will have opportunities to:
- Increase their visibility within the EU Mission Adaptation community.
- Share their knowledge and experience through events and activities.
- Contribute to discussions on emerging adaptation challenges, needs, and solutions.
- Build connections with Regional and Local Authorities, Mission Projects and other adaptation stakeholders.
Experts will be invited to register their areas of expertise, languages, and regional knowledge through a simple registration process hosted on the online EU Mission Adaptation Community Platform (Futurium), where the Mission’s Community of Practice is hosted.
Applications received by 31 July 2026 will be reviewed as part of the first assessment round, with successful applicants being included in the initial launch of the roster in September. Applications will continue to be accepted after this date as the roster expands over time.
Once launched, the roster will enable Regional and Local Authorities, Mission Projects and other members of the Mission Community to identify expertise relevant to their adaptation needs. Organisations seeking support will be invited to submit a short request, and the MIP4Adapt team will facilitate initial introductions between requesters and relevant experts from the roster.
Ready to join?
Submit your application by 31 July 2026 to be considered for inclusion in the first cohort of experts.
*Please note: You must be logged in to the EU Mission Adaptation Community Platform to access the registration form. If you are not yet a member, please register for the Platform first and then return to complete your application.
