As climate impacts continue to intensify across Europe, the Fifth Forum for the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change will bring together communities, practitioners, policymakers, researchers and innovators to explore practical and replicable solutions that are strengthening climate resilience on the ground.

The Forum will take place on 23-24 November in Dublin, Ireland, under the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Here, participants will explore innovative tools being developed through Mission Projects to boost climate resilience, collaborate to co-design solutions tailored to their communities, and take advantage of rich networking opportunities to build partnerships across sectors and governance levels.

In workshop sessions, participants will learn together and co-create solutions to specific challenges affecting their regions and communities. The Forum will offer rich opportunities for networking and collaboration, bringing together stakeholders from across sectors and governance levels to share knowledge and build partnerships.

Attendees also have the opportunity to take part in pre-forum activities, including joining site visits around Dublin, which offer first-hand insight into the region’s diverse initiatives for climate change adaptation and resilience. In the afternoon of 23 November, the Mission’s Community of Practice is invited to participate in the pre‑forum workshop to discuss shared challenges and needs and gain practical tools and solutions to tackle them. Pre-forum activities conclude with an evening networking reception for socialising, food, and drinks with climate adaptation peers in the Dublin City Hall.

To ensure that all stakeholders across Europe have the opportunity to attend this important event, for the first time, the Annual Forum is an open event, and anyone can register their interest in attending. We welcome representatives from regional and local authorities, councils and municipalities, national authorities, adaptation professionals, Charter Signatories, Mission Projects, Friends of the Mission, National Contact Points, Member State Facilitators, and representatives from academia and industry.

The full event programme has details on all the sessions and pre-forum activities that attendees can participate in.
