The third edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival will take place in Brussels from 9–13 June 2026, and project teams are invited to contribute. This flagship event celebrates creativity, sustainability, and inclusion, bringing together innovators, communities, and cultural voices from across Europe.
There are three ways to get involved:
- Fair – a laboratory and exhibition showcasing projects and prototypes that reflect the core values of the New European Bauhaus. Deadline: 30 September 2025
- Fest – a cultural celebration uniting art, conviviality, and radical ideas. Deadline: 30 September 2025
- Satellite events – independently organised initiatives in Brussels and beyond that align with New European Bauhaus values. Deadline: 31 December 2025
To be eligible, projects should promote the values of the New European Bauhaus by combining sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion. They may be based in Brussels, across the EU, or beyond, but must connect with people and reflect the festival’s vision of creating beautiful, sustainable ways of living together. Priority will be given to initiatives linked with the NEB Community, such as Lighthouse demonstrators, Prize finalists or winners, NEB Partners and Friends, or projects supported by EU funding.
Projects should also relate to at least one thematic axis — reconnecting with nature, regaining a sense of belonging, prioritising the places and people that need it most, or fostering long-term and integrated thinking. Successful submissions are encouraged to adopt a multilevel, participatory and transdisciplinary approach, ensuring broad engagement and collaboration across fields and scales.
The 2026 edition will place a strong focus on democratic engagement, particularly around affordable housing, and its role in shaping inclusive and sustainable communities.
