MountResilience supports European regions and communities located in mountainous areas to increase their capacity to adapt to climate change and to transition towards a climate-resilient society.

Valais, Switzerland demonstrates how digital tools can translate complex climate and water data into accessible and practical knowledge. By combining real-time monitoring and map-based visualisation into a smartphone app, the region is empowering local actors to better understand risks, opportunities and actual situation. It supports discussions to identify the most suitable responses to address these challenges. The co-creation process behind the app strengthens trust, ownership, and long term engagement, making adaptation more practical, locally and scientifically relevant.
